Bar Operation Policies

Village by the Sea operates a full service bar in our Maine Ballroom. Choose from a cash, open bar, or a combination of both. With any of the options, $350 minimum total in sales is required. If this minimum is not met, Village by the Sea will charge the party responsible for the difference. All bar services are subject to a $75 bar set-up fee. A service gratuity of 20% will be added to any open bar.

Village by the Sea, as a licensee, operates under Maine State Liquor Laws. Our Maine State License requires that only staff of Village by the Sea is permitted to serve alcoholic beverages. Only alcohol supplied by Village by the Sea is permitted in the Banquet Facilty, All other alcohol is prohibited from entering the Banquet Facilty. Any liquor purchased at Village by the Sea is not permitted to leave the premises. No person(s) under the state minimum drinking age of 21 will be served alcoholic beverages.

Village by the Sea reserves the right to control and inspect all functions and regulate bar services as necessary. We reserve the right to limit and control the amount of alcoholic beverages consumed by our guests. Our Bartenders have the right to refuse service to any person(s) appearing to be intoxicated. Any unsuitable behavior throughout an event is eligible for bar closure.
